Klaxons forced to cancel gig tonight

But they will play a rave DJ set

Klaxons have been forced to cancel their live appearance tonight in London (May 25).

They are unable to play at the capital’s Sin club due to guitarist Simon Taylor being taken ill, but bandmates James Righton and Jamie Reynolds are now set to play a special rave DJ set.

“Unfortunately Klaxons have had to pull out of their gigs tonight because guitarist Simon Taylor is very ill with a virus,” explained the group’s spokesperson. “The band are heartbroken at having to pull out. Hopefully the gigs over the weekend [in Manchester, Liverpool and Nottingham] won’t be affected. A decision will be made in the morning.”

New Young Pony Club have been confirmed as Klaxons’ replacements for the Modular night which will also feature sets from Simian Mobile Disco, Mystery Jets and Good Books.

Other DJ appearances will come from Ten Dead Sloanes and Everything You Do Is Baboon.

Tickets are priced at £6 and doors will open at 9pm.
