Klaxons’ James Righton releases debut solo track as Shock Machine – watch

The eponymous song is the first to be released by any of the former new rave band's members since their split

Klaxons‘ James Righton has released his first track as a solo artist.

The musician is using the moniker Shock Machine for his new project and his debut song uses the same name for its title.

You can listen to below via the official video, which was directed by long-time Klaxons collaborator Saam Farahmand.

The track was produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Haim) and mixed by Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Deerhunter). It is the first song to be taken from Righton’s debut EP ‘Open Up The Sky’.

The EP will be released on Marathon Artists/House Anxiety later this year.

Klaxons split in 2014 and played their last UK gig at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
