Klaxons play intimate gig in ‘spiritual home’ Shoreditch

Band play last UK show before Reading And Leeds Festivals

Klaxons played an intimate gig last night (July 27) at the Village Underground venue in Shoreditch, London – their last scheduled UK show before they play the Reading And Leeds Festivals.

Set to release second album ‘Surfing The Void’ on August 23, the four-piece, joined live by Anthony Rossomando, played eight songs from their new album, plus older favourites including ‘Golden Skans’ and closer ‘Atlantis To Interzone’.

The band, who opened the set with ‘Flashover’, were dressed in the same garments they wore on the cover of last week’s issue of NME (cover date July 24). During the set, singer and bassist Jamie Reynolds described Shoreditch as the band’s “spiritual home”.

The group are now set to head to Europe for more shows before returning to headline the NME/Radio 1 Tent at the Reading And Leeds Festivals (August 27-29).

Klaxons played:

‘As Above So Below’
‘Same Space’
‘Gravity’s Rainbow’
‘Golden Skans’
‘Twin Flames’
‘Two Receivers’
‘Valley Of The Calm Trees’
‘Future Memories’
‘It’s Not Over Yet’
‘Surfing The Void’
‘Atlantis To Interzone’
