Listen to Korn frontman Jonathan Davis’ new solo single ‘What It Is’

The metal musician will release his debut solo album in the summer

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has shared his new solo single ‘What It Is’ – watch the video for the new track below.

Davis is launching his debut solo album later this year, with a summer release date currently pencilled in. A title and precise release date has yet to be confirmed.

Kicking off his new solo project this week, Davis has now released ‘What It Is’ – which will also feature on the soundtrack to the film American Satan – from the forthcoming record, as well as its accompanying video. Watch that below.

Speaking about the forthcoming solo record, Davis revealed that the LP was primarily recorded live – a departure from Korn’s usual approach towards making an album.

“It took 10 years, and I’m so glad this project is finally out. It is something that is very close to me and I’m excited for the world to finally hear it,” he said. “This time, I’m pulling something out of the audience.”

“I’ve bared my soul for so fucking long, I thought it’d be really cool to pull listeners in a different direction for once,” he added.

Back in September, Davis claimed that Taylor Swift once revealed to him that she was a “huge” Korn fan.
