Watch Krept pay tribute to the late Cadet in emotional ‘Last Letter To Cadet’ video

"Rest In Perfect Peace Cuz, I Love You"

Krept has paid a moving tribute to the late Cadet by releasing the full video for the track ‘Last Letter To Cadet’ – watch the emotional clip below.

Cadet, real name Blaine Cameron Johnson, was killed in a car crash while on his way to a gig in Staffordshire earlier this month. He was 28.

Ahead of a special gig which will be held in Cadet’s honour at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on Saturday (March 2), Krept has shared the full eight-minute video for his song ‘Last Letter To Cadet’. In the accompanying caption, the artist wrote: “Rest In Perfect Peace Cuz, I Love You”.

The video includes footage from the public memorial which was held in Hyde Park shortly after Cadet’s death was confirmed, as well as archive footage from live shows the pair, who are cousins, performed together and past interviews with the late artist.

The aforementioned tribute gig, which is going by the name ‘The Rated Legend Show’, will see over 25 guest performers honour Cadet’s memory on the night. All proceeds from the sold-out show will go to a charitable cause.

Writing on Instagram shortly after Cadet’s death was confirmed, Krept recalled the last words he received from his late cousin.

“Your last words to me were literally ‘Just know i love you, for real for real’ and i am so happy that was our last convo,” Krept wrote. “I am so so broken right now cuz. I love you and i am so proud of you.”
