SHAKER MAKER’S COMEBACK

The ex-Kula Shaker frontman is scheduled play a festival in Japan...

CRISPIAN MILLS is due to make his first solo live appearance since the decline of Kula Shaker at a forthcoming festival in Japan.

Mills is to play the main stage of the Summer Sonic Fujikyu Festival on August 5. There are no details presently available of who will join Mills in his band or of what material he will play. In fact, no-one at Kula Shaker‘s former home, Columbia Records, was able to confirm or deny that Mills would definitely perform.

Mills has been quiet since the official announcement of his band’s split last September. Despite assuring fans last November that he was looking to use and develop the power of the internet “to open up the doors of communication… to share ideas and inspirations from fans across the planet” the singer has not updated his page on the Kula Shaker website, [url=]www.kulashaker.com, for over three months.

He had previously said he was to heading to India to meet with Srila BV Narayana Maharja, the holy man featured on the inside sleeve of Kula Shaker‘s last album ‘Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts’.

Amongst the names also slated to perform at the Summer Sonic Festival during both August 5 and 6 are James Brown, Muse, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Flaming Lips, Eels, Grandaddy, Coldplay, Sigur Ros, The Bluetones, Mansun and Ween.
