ALL SMILES FOR KYLES!

The antiopodean pop princess looks like becoming a chart giant as she storms into the lead in the UK singles chart race...

KYLIE

MINOGUE is winning the battle to become this week’s Number One single, with

chart rival VICTORIA BECKHAM currently only just inside the Top

Five.

Midweek chart figures published today (September 18) show that based on

sales yesterday, Kylie’s

‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ will be this week’s Number One

single.

A chart expert at Virgin Megastore in

London told NME.COM that the track “could be

one of the biggest selling singles of the year” if sales continue at this rate

throughout the rest of the week.

As a result, the battle appears to be who

will be the second highest new entry. Currently Alien

Ant Farm’s cover of ‘Smooth Criminal’ is at Number Four and

Victora Beckham’s ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’

is at Number Five. DJ Otzi’s ‘Hey Baby’ and

Bob The Builder’s ‘Mambo No 5’ have both

slipped one place each, to Numbers Two and Three respectively.

Other notable

new releases come from Starsailor’s

‘Alcoholic’, which is currently at Number Eight, and Ian

Brown, who is at Number 11 with his new single ‘F.E.A.R’.
