Kylie Minogue‘s rise to stardom in the US is set continue with her debut appearance as the musical guest on the sketch comedy programme ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’ later this month.

Since the release of ‘Fever’ in the US last month, Kylie Minogue has been hot property. The album debuted at Number Three on the Billboard chart thanks to approximately 115,000 sales. Currently she sits at Number 12 with the single ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ on the Billboard Top 100 chart.

Kylie Minogue joins ‘Lord of the Rings’ star Sir Ian McKellen, who will be hosting the broadcast on March 16.

The Aussie star’s guest slot is the latest in a long line of high profile television appearances for the star stateside. She’s already stopped by the ‘Tonight’ show, MTV’s ‘Total Request Live’ and will make an appearance at the music channel’s popular ‘MTV’s Spring Break 2002’ series, which shoots from Cancun, Mexico later this month.
