A UK newspaper reports that the star has put all promo work for her new single on hold because of an ailment - but a spokesperson insists the star's only got a cold...

KYLIE MINOGUE‘s spokesperson has denied that the star is suffering from a “serious mystery illness,” as reported in the DAILY STAR this morning (August 7).

The newspaper claimed that she had put her promotional schedule for new single ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, released through Parlophone on September 17, is on hold while she recuperates from an illness which has left her bed-bound. It also said she had pulled out of an interview with London radio station Capital FM because she was too ill to do it.

However a spokesperson told NME.COM that she did carry out the interview by phone, and made mention of the fact that she was feeling unwell, suffering from a cold. “She was planning to have this week off anyway. She is just having a break before promotion starts for the single,” he said.

The single is taken from her forthcoming album ‘Fever’, which is scheduled for release in October.

Her spokesperson was unable to confirm whether or not she will be hosting ‘An Audience With Kylie Minogue‘ for ITV, as reported in The Star.

The newspaper quotes her as saying that recording the album, which is set for release in November, has “really taken its toll”. “I am totally shattered, everything has been totally crazy,” she is reported to have said.
