But the package outside the Brighton Centre is discovered to contain boules...

A KYLIE MINOGUE show in BRIGHTON was delayed after a package thought to be a bomb, later discovered to be full of metal boules, was left outside the venue.

According to the Brighton Evening Argus newspaper, police and the bomb squad were called to the Brighton Centre last night (March 12), after security spotted a suspicious package outside the venue.

Fans were removed from inside and immediately around the Centre, and the surrounding area was cordoned off.

However, on closer inspection the bag was found to be full of metallic French boules, used for the sport similar to bowls, which is often played on the nearby seafront.

Fans were allowed back into the venue at 8.45pm and the concert went ahead unaffected.

A spokesperson for the local police said that it was important that people are “vigilant” in light of the recent bomb attack on the BBC building in London.

Kylie has already suffered bad luck on her current tour. The first scheduled date at the Dublin RDS was postponed when horrendous weather made it impossible to safely transport the equipment needed for the show from the UK mainland to Ireland.

Minogue concludes her UK tour at: Cardiff Arena (March 14)
