Kylie Minogue to headline British Summer Time Hyde Park

Grace Jones and Chic feat. Nile Rodgers will also appear at London gig on June 21

Kylie Minogue has been announced as the latest headline act for this year’s Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.

The Australian pop star will headline the London festival on June 21, appearing on a bill that also includes Grace Jones and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.

Speaking about her upcoming appearance at the festival, Minogue said: “I’m so excited to perform at Hyde Park this summer. I have great memories of playing shows there and am looking forward to doing it all again! Given the amazing artists performing and that it will be the longest day of the year, I can’t wait!”

Meanwhile, Jim King, Senior Vice President Live Events, adds, “We are thrilled to announce Kylie as the third headline for Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park. Her live shows are always amazing and show why she still reigns supremely as Pop’s Princess. Grace Jones has been one of the true innovators of our time and we are blessed to have one of her rare live performance on the main stage, and then the king of disco Nile Rodgers is bringing his Chic organisation to deliver what is unquestionably the biggest hit list of all time. It already feels like it’s going to be the biggest party of the summer.”

Minogue is the latest act confirmed for British Summer Time Hyde Park. The Who will perform alongside Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Marr on June 26, with Taylor Swift set to play the festival one day later on June 27.
