The star said the Coldplay and Basement Jaxx covers brough her "joy"...

Kylie Minogue has thanked the people and bands at GLASTONBURY for the tributes she received.

The pop star had to pull out of her Pyramid Stage headline slot after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Her replacements Basement Jaxx and Saturday night headliners Coldplay both paid tribute to the star by covering her 2001 Number One single ’Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’.

Writing on her official website, [a][/a] said she was “deeply moved” by the gestures.

She said: “I was deeply moved to hear about the tributes at Glastonbury. Though I’m desperately sad not to have been able to perform at the event, I was so happy to feel that I was, in a small way, still a part of it. My humble thanks to the artists and the crowd. I’m far away but I hope you felt the smile on my face and the joy it brought me. Hope a great time was had by all.”
