The cancer-stricken star says she's in 'good spirits'
Kylie Minogue‘s managers have denied reports of “dramatic weight loss and desperate searches for alternative therapy” as she continues to battle breast cancer.
A statement states the singer, who is being treated in Paris, is “in good spirits and is as healthy as can be expected” and hit out at “the wealth of rumours to the contrary”.
Press reports have claimed her weight has dropped to six stone and she plans to see a “holistic medicine guru”.
But she did not want fellow cancer sufferers “to be misguided by the false stories regarding her condition and her choice of doctors”, the statement from her record company Parlophone said.
The singer, 37, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and had surgery in her home country before moving to Paris.
Several UK newspapers have reported that she is to visit London-based alternative medicine specialist Nish Joshi, reports the BBC. And internet chat rooms hafe been rife with rumours about Minogue‘s condition. Joshi was said to have performed the “cupping” treatment, a kind of acupuncture.
