La Roux shares emotional video for ‘Let Me Down Gently’

Singer also adds extra London date to November UK tour

La Roux has released a video for new track ‘Let Me Down Gently’, the first song taken from her forthcoming album ‘Trouble In Paradise’.

The clip, directed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, sees Elly Jackson singing alone in a room before emerging into open fields.

The singer has also added an extra London date to her recently announced UK tour, which takes place in November. The show takes place on November 12 at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire,

‘Trouble In Paradise’ will be released via Polydor on July 7. Song titles include ‘Paradise Is You’, ‘Sexotheque’ and ‘Tropical Chancer’. La Roux’s self-titled debut album was released in 2009. Jackson previously spoke to NME about the delay in releasing the album, saying: “I realised the album I wanted to make would require me being a much better musician than I was. There’s been a lot of learning and it’s been fun and I didn’t want it to stop, basically.”

La Roux will play:

London Conway Hall (July 1)
Glasgow O2 ABC (November 5)
Leeds Metropolitan University (7)
Birmingham Institute (8)
Bristol Academy (10)
O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (12)
