La Roux, Marmaduke Duke, Big Pink for Reading And Leeds Festivals

40 more bands added to summer line-ups

La Roux, Marmaduke Duke, Black Lips, The Big Pink and The Chapman Family are among 40 bands who have been added to the line-up of the Reading And Leeds Festivals.

A Place To Bury Strangers, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Rumble Strips and Marina And The Diamonds have also joined the bill, as the acts set to appear on the Festival Republic Stage are revealed.

As well as acts set for that stage, it has been revealed that The View and The Living End will play on the Main Stage at Reading on August 30 and at Leeds on August 29. El Bronx, the mariachi alter-ego of The Bronx, will open the Main Stage on August 28 in Leeds and the following day at Reading.

Marmaduke Duke will headline the Reading Festival Republic Stage on August 28 (Leeds on August 30) for their only remaining live shows of 2009.

The Blackout and Bring Me The Horizon will co-headline at Leeds on August 28 and Reading on August 29.

La Roux will headline the stage in Leeds on August 29 and in Reading on August 30.

This year’s festival will be headlined by Radiohead, Kings Of Leon and Arctic Monkeys. Tickets are sold out.
