Singer will open this year's iTunes Festival with a performance at London's Roundhouse on September 1
Lady Gaga has hinted that her comeback gig in London next month (September) will feature a surprise guest.
The singer will open this year’s iTunes Festival with a performance at London’s Roundhouse on September 1 – her first gig since February, when she was forced to cancel a slew of tour dates while she underwent surgery for a hip injury.
During an interview on Kiss FM, the singer was asked if her forthcoming album ‘ARTPOP’ features any collaborations and remained tight-lipped before adding: “But at iTunes at the Roundhouse we will be revealing one of the collaborations that we’re doing and I’m excited for everyone to see that.”
Gaga went on to confirm that Azealia Banks doesn’t appear on ‘ARTPOP’ after the rapper said last October that she had been working with Lady Gaga over email. Gaga also revealed that she will perform six of the 15 songs set to appear on ‘ARTPOP’ during her comeback gig on September 1.
Meanwhile, the singer has also reassured fans that a sequel to her memorable 2010 video ‘Telephone’ is “surely coming” and revealed that she will perform the song in question during her Roundhouse show.
Earlier this week, Lady Gaga unveiled the video for the first single from ‘ARTPOP’, ‘Applause’, which features shots of the singer’s head on the body of a swan. She’ll perform the song live for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York tomorrow (August 25). ‘ARTPOP’ is due for release on November 11 and features production from Zedd, Madeon and DJ White Shadow.
