The singer's new album 'ARTPOP' will be released on November 11
Lady Gaga has teased details of what appears to be the first single from her forthcoming new album ‘ARTPOP’.
The pop star’s makeup artist, Tara Savelo has posted a photo of Gaga on her Little Monsters social networking site working on what may be the artwork to the forthcoming single, which will be released on August 19. The title of the drawing is ‘Applause’ indicating that that is also the title of single.
Gaga also posted an image on Little Monsters – which is a snapshot of a page from a notebook which appears to be lyrics. “Documented this album/app ‘ARTPOP’ project in a series of notes and books, with visual ideas and sketches throughout,” the caption reads. “I take this book everywhere.” The words in the notebook, which feature on a page containing stick-people and bizarre looking figures, read: “If only fame had an IV / Baby could I bear / Being away from you / I found the vein, put it in here.“
Earlier this month (July 12), Gaga revealed that ‘ARTPOP’ will be released as part of an app on November 11. According to the statement, “the app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology with a new interactive world-wide community”.
It continued: “The album ‘ARTPOP’ musically mirrors Gaga’s creative process as she passes through the mediums of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint of her journey. The result, a “rage” of electronic passion and fury, defining each artistic process from beginning to end, ‘ARTPOP’ could mean anything. But for her, this is a celebration of obsession.”
