Singer unveils another surreal Terry Richardson clip
Lady Gaga has released a second bizarre clip for a track titled ‘Cake’ – scroll down to view it.
The singer teamed up with renowned photographer Terry Richardson to make the film, the first part of which debuted online last week.
The new clip sees Gaga in her underwear writhing around in a pile of mashed-up cake. Covered in buttercream, and in need of a wash, she climbs into a Jacuzzi to clean down (and shake her bottom).
The track, when first leaked in September, initially left fans unsure as to whether it was indeed a real Lady Gaga song or a spoof. ‘Cake’ is expected to be the ‘Poker Face’ star’s next single, but is not thought to be among the tracks on scheduled fourth album ‘ARTPOP’, due next year. It’s also been suggested by sources close to Gaga that ‘ARTPOP’ is behind schedule due to hectic touring commitments and promotional duties.
Terry Richardson is an American fashion photographer who has shot high-profile campaigns for the likes of Yves Saint Lauren, Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford. He’s well-known for the nudity in his work, and has been accused of exploiting models he’s worked with, although he denies any bad practice.
Earlier this month Gaga unveiled her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe’. A song by the pair was due to feature on the Lamar’s debut studio LP ‘Good Kid, MAAD City’, however Gaga last month confirmed that she wasn’t able to submit her vocals on time for the album’s deadline.
