Singer has promised that her third album will be a 'multimedia experience'
Lady Gaga has promised that she will deliver a one-of-a-kind release plan for her new album ‘ARTPOP’.
The ‘Born This Way’ star, who is set to release the LP in early 2013, wrote on her Little Monsters social network that her third album would be a “multimedia experience” and will be released a huge variety of formats.
She wrote: “I’m excited to tell you all that ARTPOP is going to be a multimedia experience that comes in different forms. The most major way to fully immerse yourself in ARTPOP is through the app.”
She continued: “ARTPOP will be released as an iPad, iPhone, mobile and computer compatible application that is completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, GaGa-inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more still in the works!”
The singer also confirmed that she would be able to update the app at any time and would try and make the experience as interactive as possible.
She added: “You [fans] inspired me to create something that communicated with images, because you do, you communicate with me and each other with .gifs and pictures, and artwork, graphics all day, 24/7. You’re an ARTPOP generation. I’m hoping you will all continue to grow together and stay connected through your creativity.”
Gaga also said that the album would receive a conventional digital and physical release “which will be unique and different to the app”.
Gaga is currently in the middle of her ‘Born This Way’ ball world tour, which features 110 dates in all. The tour’s European leg will make its way to the UK this weekend for a pair of dates at Twickenham on September 8 and 9 and a third show at the Manchester Arena on September 11.
The singer, who is also set to make a public appearance at iconic London department store Harrods on October 7, announced last month that she will make her acting debut in a new Robert Rodriguez movie called Machete Kills.
She will play a character called ‘La Chameleon’ in the film, which is a sequel to Rodriguez’s 2010 action exploitation movie Machete.
