The Sun claims that Gaga went to Winehouse’s house in Camden, London to pay her respects to the late singer, who passed away at her home in July this year.
A source close to Gaga said that she had wanted to visit Winehouse’s pad “to pay respect to her former hero”, before going on to add:
She went in disguise and kept things low key.
In August, Gaga revealed that she was unable to speak for two days after hearing the news of Winehouse’s death. “I’m just so devastated and sad, I couldn’t speak for like 48 hours straight,” she said.
It was also reported that Gaga had set her sights on playing Winehouse in a Holywood biopic of her life, with a source claiming the singer saw the opportunity as “the ideal role to launch her film career”.
Winehouse’s posthumous album, ‘Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures’, will be released on December 5. It features 12 tracks, including three covers and a number of previously unreleased tracks.
