Lady Gaga: ‘I have no problem with Madonna’

Pop star scotches rumours that she's feuding with Madonna

Lady Gaga has dismissed rumours that she is feuding with Madonna by insisting that there is “no problem” between the two pop mega stars.

The Mirror claims that apparent tension had surfaced between the two singers, after Madonna was reported to have undermined her rival by replying “Lady who?” to a question about the ‘Bad Romance’ star at the London premiere of her new film, W.E..

However, Gaga said:

Madonna is a wonderful influence on me. I feel blessed to have grown up with a powerful, blonde woman to show us the ropes. It’s all down to her that I’m able to do what I do. I really like her new single too. The one that was leaked. There’s no problem between us.

In June, Lady Gaga revealed that Madonna had been amongst the influences on her latest album ‘Born This Way’, but insisted that accusations she had ripped off the pop icon’s classic 1989 single ‘Express Yourself’ on the LP’s title track were “moronic” and “retarded”.

Madonna, meanwhile, was reportedly furious that a demo version of her new single ‘Give Me All Your Love’ was leaked online and said that her “true fans wouldn’t do this” to her. The full version of the track is expected to feature Nicki Minaj and MIA, and will feature on her as-yet-untitled new album.
