Lady Gaga offers birthday wishes to Tony Bennett – video

Singer wishes crooner the best on his 85th birthday

Lady Gaga has sent Tony Bennett a message for the crooner’s 85th birthday celebrations – the clip can be seen above.

The singer is seen singing ‘Happy Birthday’ before sipping a whisky and saying, “I miss you” to the camera. The two duet on Bennett‘s upcoming ‘Duets II’ album which comes out on September 20. The duo sing a version of ‘The Lady Is A Tramp’.

The CD is notable for featuring one of Amy Winehouse‘s final recordings. She duets with Bennett on the track ‘Body And Soul’.

The track was recorded in March of this year. At the time of recording Winehouse is reported to have told Bennett; “I grew up listening to your records. You taught me how to sing,” according to the Telegraph.

She is reported to have added: “I’m so happy to be here. It’s a story to tell my grandchildren, to tell their grandchildren, to make sure they tell their grandchildren.”
