Lady Gaga fans give their reactions to ‘Born This Way’

Debate underway at NME.COM/blogs

Lady Gaga fans have been giving their opinions on the singer’s long-awaited new single ‘Born This Way’.

The debate is underway at NME.COM/blogs now.

Initial reactions have been mixed, with many users comparing the song to Madonna’s 1989 single ‘Express Yourself’.

User Matt wrote: “Could she rip off Madonna any more?” Jay was even more specific, stating: “Could it sound any more like ‘Express Yourself’ by Queen Madge?”

LAoffender loved the track though, calling it a “damn fine piece of pop.”

Musicians have also given their feedback, with Elton John calling the track “the gayest thing ever”. Paramore‘s Hayley Williams loves it, tweeting “I just heard ‘Born This Way’ and loved it” via Twitter.com/yelyahwilliams. Kids In Glass Houses singer Aled Phillips, who admittedly enjoys a lower profile than John or Williams, was less keen. Writing on his Twitter page, Twitter.com/aledsavinlatin, he wrote: “I’ve heard it once and I don’t really want to listen to it again right now. You’ve been a very, very, bad, bad girl, Gaga.”
