Lady Gaga joins Adam Lambert and Queen onstage in Sydney – watch

Lady Gaga joined the Adam Lambert-fronted current line-up of Queen onstage in Sydney last night (August 27) for a performance of the band’s hit ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ – watch fan-filmed footage of it below.

The collaboration happened after the band’s Australian tour dates coincided with the Australasian leg of the singer’s artRAVE tour supporting her ‘ARTPOP’ album. Gaga wore a jumpsuit embossed with crowns and a giant black wig for the occasion.

Gaga and Queen have a history of collaborating in the past. She co-wrote the track ‘Fever’, which appeared on Lambert’s debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’, while May played guitar on her single ‘ Yoü and I’, which sampled Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’.

Next month, Gaga will release her duet album with Tony Bennett titled ‘Cheek To Cheek’. The LP, which is due for release on September 23, will feature many jazz standards including ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)’, ‘Sophisticated Lady’, ‘Lush Life’, and the album’s title track.

“‘Cheek To Cheek’ came out of a very organic friendship and relationship that Tony and I have built over the years and it truly was a collaborative effort,” said Gaga in a statement. “It was important to Tony that this was a jazz record. I’ve been singing jazz since I was a child and really wanted to show the authentic side of the genre. We made an album of jazz classics, but it has a modern twist.”

Gaga had previously worked with Bennett on his 2011 ‘Duets II’ album, recording a version of ‘The Lady Is A Tramp’.

In June, the pair made a surprise appearance at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in New York City, giving students a short performance and masterclass.
