Listen to Lady Leshurr’s banger-packed hype playlist

10-track playlist is all killer and no filler

Lady Leshurr has compiled a video playlist of tracks to get “hype” with.

The 10-track playlist includes the grime star’s own single ‘Where Are You Now?’ as well as ‘Shutdown’ by Mercury Prize winner Skepta. Videos by Ms Dynamite and Laura Mvula appear on the playlist too, alongside classic hits by Eminem (‘My Name Is’) and Missy Elliott (‘Get Ur Freak On’).

Lady Leshurr is set to release her debut album ‘Queen Of The Scene’ early in 2017. During her recent NME cover interview she spoke about the lack of bad language on her tracks, saying: “I don’t feel the need to swear. I grew up on one of the most foul-mouthed rappers in the world, but it’s all about mentality and upbringing. My mum brought me up really good, and I knew my rights from my wrongs.”

The rapper also revealed that she feels set apart from the grime scene, despite having Wiley guest on her new single ‘Where Are You Now’. She said: “I don’t have anybody. It’s really sad, but I don’t have a circle. I don’t have any industry friends. I don’t have anyone, literally.”
