Pip Brown will return for six shows later this year in support of her new album 'Anxiety'
Ladyhawke has announced a UK and Ireland tour for later this year.
The singer, whose real name is Pip Brown, released her second album ‘Anxiety’ in June and will support it in November with a run of six shows.
The tour begins in Brighton at the Concorde venue on November 5 and runs until November 14 when Ladyhawke plays London’s HMV Kentish Town Forum. The run of shows also includes stops in Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds.
Speaking to NME previously about the album, Ladyhawke revealed that her second LP is both darker and rockier, with Pixies, Blur and Nirvana her main influences during its creation.
She said of ‘Anxiety’: “It’s a lot more rocky. The tone of it is definitely darker. It’s still poppy and fun, but I listened to a lot of guitar rock when I was writing it, stuff like Pixies, Blur, Nirvana and I’ve always wanted to make a guitar record. There’s no synth, but there’s some organ. It’s more of a straight-up rock record.”
