Lana Del Rey announces release of new single ‘National Anthem’

The latest cut from 'Born To Die' is out on July 8

Lana Del Rey will release her new single, ‘National Anthem’, on July 8.

The track is the latest to be taken from her debut LP, ‘Born To Die’, which was released at the start of the year. The album has sold two million copies globally.

The single release will come with a host of remixes from the likes of Tensnake, Todd Terry, Afterlife and DC Breaks, and will be released on digital download and 7″ picture disc.

Earlier today the singer, who is currently at the Cannes Film Festival, won Best Contemporary Song for ‘Video Games’ at the Ivor Novello Awards ceremony in London.

Cheryl Cole recently confirmed that a song written by Lana Del Rey will feature on her new studio album ‘A Million Lights’. The Girls Aloud singer will release ‘A Million Lights’ on June 18. The record will be the singer’s third studio album and is the follow-up to her 2010 effort ‘Messy Little Raindrops’.

Lana Del Rey will play a host of UK festivals over the coming months, including London’s Lovebox Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival, Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend and Latitude Festival.
