Lana Del Rey cancels Dallas show at last minute due to bad weather

The singer later told fans that she 'wasn't allowed to get on stage'

Lana Del Rey was forced to cancel a show in Dallas, Texas on Saturday (May 9) due to adverse weather conditions.

The singer opened her summer tour, which sees her touring with Courtney Love, on Thursday (May 7) at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston.

As local news source KHOU reports, Love had already completed her opening set before it was announced that Del Rey would no longer be appearing at the open air venue.

Dallas experienced stormy weather over the weekend, with Del Rey explaining on Instagram, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m sorry that we weren’t allowed to get on stage tonight. And I’m sorry that I wasn’t granted my request to at least tell you that in person.”

However, one Twitter user posted a video which shows that the audience on the night were not too pleased about the decision. See below.

Love will support Del Rey for eight shows across America in May. The Endless Summer tour will continue through the summer in the US and Canada with Grimes set to replace Love as the support act. They’ll play dates in Chicago, Toronto, Detroit and other major cities together.

Reports have previously stated that Del Rey has written nine tracks for her next album already, which she says will be “very different” to ‘Ultraviolence’.

Lana Del Rey has reportedly recruited the services of producer Mark Ronson for the album.
