Lauryn Hill has announced she will play a series of acoustic gigs in New York and Washington, DC this February.
As reported by Rap Up, the former Fugees MC will perform to an intimate crowd of 250 to 500 fans at venues such as The Howard Theatre in DC and Brooklyn’s Rough Trade.
In addition, those who buy a VIP Meet and Greet ticket will have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Hill, as well as receiving a limited edition art poster designed by the “Everything is Everything” singer.
Lauryn Hill plays:

Blue Note, New York, NY – early and late show (25)
Hill performed a series of shows in London last September, but the performances were met with harsh Twitter criticism. Following her appearance at the O2 Academy Brixton on September 20, Hill began to trend on the social networking site after attendees complained not only that she was an hour and a half late onstage, but also the way Hill re-vamped her old material, apparently making her classic songs nearly unrecognisable from the original versions.
“Think I’ve just witnessed the worst version of ‘Everything is everything’ by #LaurynHill by Lauryn Hill,” posted Leo Fedorcio. “Tonight’s #LaurynHill gig was one of the most confusing experiences of my life.”
