LED ZEPPELIN, Jerry Lewis Lee and [a][/a] are to be honoured at this year’s GRAMMYS with LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT awards.

The esteemed ceremony takes place on February 13 in Los Angeles, with awards handed out by the US Recording Academy.

The artist’s achievements will be celebrated at a special ceremony the night before the main event, as well as during the Grammy Awards, which are thought to be the musical equivalent of the Oscars.

Other artists honoured at the event include Eddy Arnold, jazz legend Jelly Roll Morton, original members of the Carter Family country band, the late Art Blakey and blues pianist Pinetop Perkins, reports the BBC.

The Recording Academy says the awards recognise “legendary performers, archetypal musicians and cultural ambassadors” as well as “profoundly inspiring figures”.
