Les Savy Fav set to launch Brooklyn Knitting Factory

Band will perform on new venue’s opening night

Les Savy Fav have been announced to perform at the opening of the Knitting Factory’s new space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn – with the event scheduled for September 9.

The Brooklyn-based band will be the first of a string of bands slated to perform next month, including Boss Hog, Titus Andronicus, The Raincoats and Melissa Auf Der Maur among others.

The new venue is the Knitting Factory’s third location in New York since opening in 1987 on the Lower East Side. The venue later moved to Tribeca, where it operated until last year. The new location is the former Luna Lounge space in Williamsbug.
