Lewis Capaldi has been named the hardest working artist in music, according to a new study.
Research conducted by the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) revealed which of the world’s musicians work the hardest based on a number of different factors.
Taking Billboard’s top 100 artists from 2018 and 2019, the ICMP analysed the number of domestic shows, number of international shows, the total number of shows and number of countries played to reveal which artists had worked the hardest this year.
Lewis Capaldi came out on top having completed 195 total shows across 23 countries; 68 of them domestic and 127 of them international.
The Scottish singer/songwriter has enjoyed enormous success throughout 2019 – most recently bagging his first number one single in the US with ‘Someone You Loved’.
Right behind him, Billie Eilish came in second on the list with 184 shows played across 23 countries.

The producer, real name Finneas O’Connor, explained that the follow-up to 2019’s ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?‘ will allow the singer to “evolve” her sound.
