Fans react to Liam Gallagher’s rumoured return to music

Ex-Oasis frontman hinted that he's coming back to reclaim his 'crown'

Last night (July 21), Liam Gallagher teased his return to music with a cryptic message posted to Twitter. This morning (July 22), fans have been reacting to the news.

Gallagher has been lying low ever since his post-Oasis band Beady Eye announced their split in October 2014, and hasn’t released any music since then.

But the frontman has now suggested that new music could be on its way, claiming that he was on his way to reclaim his “crown”.

Gallagher wrote on Twitter on Thursday night: “Be afraid you so called troubadours and you plastic rock n rollers give your paper crown 1 last cuddle coz I’m on my way LG X”.

Following the news, most fans have been in a jubilant mood. One fan wrote: “You are back! We’ve been waiting for so long.” Another posted: “Rock n roll is back”.

However, others have been more cautious. One Twitter user wrote: “You tried it once before with Beady eye Liam, and we know how that ended up.” Another echoed the sentiment, saying: “Don’t tease man. I hope it’s real and that you’re not fuckin with us. It has to be better than Beady Eye. Do or die.”

The latest post comes three weeks after Liam used Twitter to claim that he wanted to reform Oasis, but that brother Noel wasn’t interested.
