Liam Gallagher compares ‘shit bag’ Noel to Ronnie Corbett

It's the latest Twitter insult Liam has directed at Noel

Liam Gallagher has again insulted his brother Noel Gallagher via social media.

The pair’s relationship has been strained since their Britpop band Oasis split in 2009, with Liam becoming increasingly critical of Noel in recent times, especially on Twitter where he has started calling Noel a “potato” on a regular basis.

This morning (September 23), Liam hit out at Noel on Twitter, alleging that his sibling won’t be doing press surrounding the upcoming Oasis documentary Supersonic and claiming that Noel won’t attend the film’s premiere either.

In the same tweet, Liam labelled Noel a “shit bag” and called him the “Ronnie Corbett of rock n roll”, comparing him to the late comedian and Two Ronnies star. See that tweet in full below.

Asked about his Twitter jibes at his brother, Liam recently told Q: “Oh, I know. I know. Lots of people say I need to chill out about Noel. Not until they stop Twitter. That c*nt will always get it from me.”

On whether his brother gets frustrated by his insults, Liam added: “Well, yeah. I’ve heard they really annoy him. Someone told me the other week that the only thing that does his nut in are my tweets. Good. They will carry on and they will get bigger and better.”

Liam Gallagher recently announced his return to music, confirming that he’s working on a solo album, which is expected to be released next year.

Having previously denied that he would go solo, arguing that he wouldn’t do so because he is “not a c**t”, Liam recently tweeted: “It’s official, I’m a c*nt”.

The Supersonic film will premiere on October 2, with Liam Gallagher set to take part in a livestream Q&A surrounding the event. The movie will be released fully in UK cinemas two weeks later on October 14. It will then be released on Blu-Ray and DVD in the UK on October 31.
