Liam Gallagher forgives Noel Gallagher, pleads for Oasis reunion

"Stop fucking about the drinks are on me"

Liam Gallagher has reached out to his brother Noel for an Oasis reunion, saying that he forgives him.

The ex-Oasis frontman wrote on Twitter on Thursday (19 July) that he wants the band to reunite after their split in 2009.

“Earth to noel listen up rkid I hear your doing gigs where people can’t drink alcohol now that’s the BeZarist thing you’ve done yet,” Liam wrote.

“I forgive you now let’s get the BIG O back together and stop fucking about the drinks are on me LG x”

Liam took a dig at Noel’s apparent “BeZarist” alcohol ban at gigs before offering a truce. It’s not clear whether there is any ban in place.

It comes days after Liam accused Noel of “cursing” the England football team during a rant.

The 45-year-old singer, who released his debut solo record this year, hit out at his “miserable” 51-year-old sibling after England lost to Croatia in the World Cup semi-final.

His tirade followed a clip posted online that showed Noel responding to his fans who sang along to ‘Three Lions’.

Noel told the crowd as chants of “it’s coming home” rang out during a show in Scarborough: “It’s fucking not”.

In response, one of Liam’s tweets read: “He wasn’t right they wasn’t right they put a curse on it it they should be shot”

It’s not clear what exactly caused the band’s split in 2009 though there are two main stories.

Noel claims that an incident in which Liam threw a plum at him and wielded a guitar “like an axe” led to him leaving the band.

Noel added that Liam was upset about a bad reaction from fans prompted by a V Festival no-show, which caused him to take his anger out on his brother.

But according to Liam Noel’s wife is the reason Oasis are no longer together.

The siblings’ rivalry has been longstanding. Liam once told The Howard Stern Show that the pair had a big falling out after Liam urinated over his brother’s sound system aged 15.

Oasis fans have now been sent into a frenzy over the prospect of the legendary Britpop band’s reunion.
