Liam Gallagher‘s son Gene Gallagher looks set to feature on one of his dad’s new songs, after Liam tweeted a picture of the 17-year-old in the studio.
The follow up to 2017’s ‘As You Were’ has been in the works for a while, with Liam originally teasing its release last year.
Now, the Godlike Genius has shared more snaps from the studio. In the picture, Gene Gallagher is seen playing bongos among a range of other instruments. “Gene laying down some bongos on my new tune as you were LG x,” Liam wrote. You can see the tweet below.

While an official release date for the album has yet to be announced, Liam did update one fan on Twitter last week about a possible date: he wrote that its completion was “a few more weeks” away, and that “a few more tweaks” were still required.
Liam has also spoken about the writing sessions for the album, tweeting that things are sounding “biblical” and “magic”.
Back in January, footage of Liam apparently recording new music was posted on Instagram by producer Andrew Wyatt.
This isn’t the first time that Gene has dabbled in the music industry. In October, the teenager announced that he would be launching his own rock band.
The band is called Grimmo and will see Gene on guitar and vocals. His friend Cody Grimaldi is also on guitar, while Alf Carroll will play the drums.
