Is Liam going to add 'Champagne Supernova' to his solo set list?
The former Oasis frontman has been playing a number of the Britpop band’s songs during his current solo tour, including ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ and ‘Morning Glory’.
However, he hasn’t yet performed ‘Champagne Supernova’ from the band’s 1995 album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’.
Liam also recently criticised brother Noel for his live rendition of the song.
At Gallagher’s gig in Jakarta, Indonesia on Sunday (January 14), fans began a mass singalong of ‘Champagne Supernova’. Afterwards, Gallagher told the crowd that while his band hadn’t rehearsed the song, they would make sure they played it the next time they perform in the city.
This comes after Liam Gallagher recently revealed that he can’t play Oasis’ classic ‘Wonderwall’ on guitar.
“I don’t even know how to play it on guitar, man, that is the joke,” he told The Herald Sun. “My kid can play it, but seriously, I can’t,” Liam added.
“Gene’s still in sixth form but he’s desperate to be in a band. He plays guitar and drums, he’s on the lookout for band members. I’ve not heard him sing, but he’s got the attitude and the look for sure. He’s a good little guitar player; he’s better than me. I mean, I can’t play, but he’s good.”
