"I'm not just going to stand here all night screaming out for everybody sounding f*****g horrific"
Liam Gallagher is “severely upset” after a chest infection forced him to cut short a festival show in Chile last night.
The ‘As You Were’ singer, 45, left the stage halfway through his set at Lollapalooza Festival in Santiago, Chile.
Footage recorded by fans sees Liam explaining how his voice sounds “fucking horrific”, before immediately making his departure.
“My voice is absolutely smashed. I’m not just going to stand here all night screaming out for everybody sounding f*****g horrific”, he is heard to say in the clip.
“I’m very sorry I can’t sing the tunes.”
The announcement is followed by boos from disappointed fans, before Liam responds once more.
“If you ain’t gonna have fun, I’m wasting my time”, he says.
A subsequent statement released on his Twitter account confirmed that the star was experiencing difficulty breathing on stage after suffering a chest infection.
“Due to an ongoing chest infection, we had to cut the Lollapalooza Santiago show tonight short”, a statement from his management confirmed.
“Liam was diagnosed with a sinus, ear and nose infection after a European show a few weeks ago which has led to a chest infection. He has been continuing to perform and trying to push through it but unfortunately today he was finding it hard breathing on stage and wasn’t able to continue the set.
“Liam is severely disappointed and upset that he couldn’t finish the show and wants to apologise to everyone who came out to see him tonight. He promises to reschedule a gig in Santiago as soon as possible.”
