Liam Gallagher kicks off December UK tour in Leeds

“I’ve got nothing against Yorkshire man - I love the tea”

Last night saw Liam Gallagher kick off the last winter leg of his 2018 UK tour in Leeds. See footage, photos and the setlist below.

As well as cuts from his acclaimed 2017 debut solo album ‘As You Were‘, Gallagher also treated Leeds First Direct Arena to 10 Oasis classics.

After the PA belted out ‘Fucking In The Bushes’, Gallagher opened the show by tearing into a riotous rendition of ‘Rock N’ Roll Star’ before the epic ‘Morning Glory’. A run of five solo tracks including singles ‘Wall Of Glass’ and ‘For What It’s Worth’ then followed, before punctuating his set with more hits from his former band, with ‘Rockin’ Chair’, ‘Some Might Say’ and ‘Slide Away’.

During a moment of banter with the crowd, Gallager responded to the standard chant of ‘Yorkshire’ with: “I’ve got nothing against Yorkshire, man – I love the tea.”

After ending the first set with ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Be Here Now’, he then returned for an encore with a volatile outing of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’. Gallagher then stripped everything back for an acoustic rendition of ‘Live Forever’, and again with the second encore and closing of ‘Wonderwall’.

His UK tour continues tonight in Glasgow, before heading to Plymouth, London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Brighton – ending with a homecoming show in Manchester.
