Liam Gallagher and Wolf Alice have led tributes to the England football team, after a devastating semi-final defeat to Croatia in the World Cup.
Despite taking the lead early on with a stunning free kick from Kieran Trippier, England ultimately crashed out of the tournament after Croatia’s Mario Mandžukić scored the winner in the first period of extra time.
But as the country continues to reel from the devastating defeat, some of music’s most recognisable faces have been paying tribute to the skill and tenacity of the team.
