Lianne La Havas scraps more tour dates due to illness

Singer still not well enough to hit the road as she cancels five further dates

Lianne La Havas has been forced to cancel more dates on her current UK tour due to her ongoing bout of illness.

The Mercury-nominated singer had already scrapped a run of gigs due to take place earlier this month after she was hospitalised with a mystery ailment, and it has now been confirmed that she has postponed a further five shows.

It had previously been reported that Havas had been released from hospital on October 8, but a representative for the singer said she was “still too unwell” to resume her tour. She has now cancelled shows in Manchester (10), London (11), Birmingham (12), Leeds (14) and Dublin (15), with all the dates to be rescheduled in the future.

Previously, La Havas had been Tweeting from her hospital bed, writing on October 6: ” Hubby where are u? I need grapes and cuddly toys by my bed STAT! Xx”. A reason for her illness has still not yet been revealed, with a spokesperson for the singer merely confirming that she was suffering from an illness.
