Technical difficulties anger New Orleans rapper
US hip-hop star Lil Wayne has stormed off stage at a gig in Milan, Italy, after appearing to grow frustrated with a mainly unresponsive crowd. It was later revealed by the rapper’s team that technical difficulties were the cause of the musician’s outrage.
Performing at Milan Fashion Week during the Phillip Plein show, Lil Wayne can be seen to ask the crowd to put their hands up, to lukewarm response. He later throws his mic into the air before exiting the stage.
The rapper recently featured as a guest on Pusha T‘s new album ‘King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude’, but we still await Lil Wayne’s upcoming 13th studio release ‘Tha Carter V’. The record has been delayed numerous times and has no scheduled release date.
It’s not been a happy few months for Wayne recently. His house in Miami Beach, Florida was raided in November 2015 by police on the lookout for assets as part of a financial dispute.
Various sources reported that art worth $2 million – part of a total collection estimated in value at $30 million – was removed from the house. The assets were reportedly taken as payment in a civil case brought against the rapper relating to a $2 million unpaid airline lease bill.
