Lil Wayne has calmed rumours of his retirement by sharing a new song.
The rapper tweeted last week “I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun”, causing fans and fellow musicians like Drake and Kendrick Lamar to send him messages of support.
Now, Weezy has shared a new song called ‘Grateful’, which takes aim at his former label Cash Money, with whom he has been feuding with.
“You don’t see Stunna right next to me/And I won’t see Stunna write cheques to me/They can’t put no more Weezy baby out/That’s that Cash Money vasectomy,” goes one line. Another has him rapping: “Tell the press I’m not depressed/I just had to press reset“.
‘Grateful’ is streaming exclusively on Tidal. Listen to it below, via Pigeons And Planes.
