A joint album between Lil Wayne and Drake is “definitely” happening.

This is according to the duo’s Cash Money Records label boss Brian ‘Birdman’ Williams, who said they’re working on “something real special”.

The announcement came on the same day that a collaborative track from the pair hit the internet. Scroll down and click below to listen to ‘She Will’, which is slated to appear on Lil Wayne‘s much-delayed new album ‘Tha Carter IV’.

Speaking to, Williams said that Wayne has already been talking about his plans for the joint LP. He also compared it with Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s collaborative effort ‘Watch The Throne’, which was released on Monday (August 8).

Williams commented:

It’s older versus younger. I listened to a few songs [off ‘Watch The Throne’] and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young. They young cats.

He declined to reveal a tentative release date for the LP but said that it’s “definitely going to get done”.

‘Tha Carter IV’ is due to be released on August 29, while Canadian rapper Drake‘s sophomore effort ‘Take Care’ is due to drop on October 24.

Wayne has also got yet another lawsuit to keep him busy, his fifth in four years. In the latest case, production firm Done Deal Enterprises has accused him of ‘stealing’ his 2010 hit ‘BedRock’, a collaboration with Drake and Nicki Minaj.
