Lil Wayne is being sued for around $20 million (£12.3 million) by a producer who claims he hasn’t been paid for work on the rapper’s song ‘Lollipop’.
Dezzle, real name Darius Harrison, has filed a suit that alleges he has not been paid money owed from sales of the song and the album it was featured on, ‘Tha Carter III’, reports MTV News.
He was listed as a co-writer of ‘Lollipop’.
Dezzle produced a number of tracks on the album and also worked on its prequel, 2005’s ‘Tha Carter II’.
This is the fourth high-profile lawsuit the rapper has faced. He was sued by producer Bangledesh over unpaid royalties in 2007, for copyright infringement in 2009 and for cancelling a series of US shows, also in 2009.
Lil Wayne announced last week (March 18) that he will release his new album ‘Tha Carter IV’ on May 16 in the US.
