Lily Allen and Courtney Love continue Shockwaves NME Awards argument on Twitter

Duo take to posting unflattering pictures of each other on the site

Lily Allen and Courtney Love are embroiled in a Twitter feud after coming to blows at last week’s (February 24) Shockwaves NME Awards.

The two had a verbal argument during the O2 Academy Brixton ceremony, and although Allen initially denied having a “bust-up”, she did post a number of Tweets revealing more details about the altercation from her point of view.

Courtney Love and I did NOT have a bust-up at the NME‘s. There was an exchange of words, yes, she’s upset because she has got it into her head that I put a lock on some dresses for the Brit Awards 2010. She’s made no secret of this and, when I saw her at the NME‘s she tried to talk to me and I told her to shut up (and) stop spreading stupid rumours about me,” Allen wrote. “And that’s pretty much it. I would never fight with her, as a rule I don’t pick on crazy old ladies.”

In reply to the above selection of Tweets, Love launched into her own tirade, and even posted an unflattering Twitpic image of Allen onstage.

“Every time she [Allen] walked by me absolutely inappropriately frocked at the NME Awards I wouldn’t be faulted for thinking she was at a premiere,” Love Tweeted, adding: “Sort of like an oversteroid very nasty girl version of me when I was 30.”

Love also accused Allen of behaving inappropriately at her house while her daughter Frances Bean was asleep, while Allen carried on the feud by posting a similarly unflattering Twitpic image of Love.

Allen then apologised for posting the picture, Tweeting: “Sorry, that was mean. Enuff of these juvenile musings, I should never have risen to the bait. Silly Lily.”
