'Rollin'' is fighting off a fierce challenge from Usher...

LIMP BIZKIT look set to hold on to their Number One spot this coming Sunday (January 28), as they are currently holding off stiff competition from new entries USHER and DR DRE.

If initial sales predictions are representative of the rest of the coming week, Limp Bizkit will stay at Number One for the second consecutive week. Up to the end of sales yesterday (January 22), they sold 8,608 copies of their single ‘Rollin”. The highest new entry so far, Usher’s ‘Pop Ya Collar’ is at Number Two, and has sold 7,473 copies.

As predicted, there should be a number of other new releases entering the Top Ten this week, with Dr Dre’s ‘The Next Episode’ currently at Number Three, Safri Duo’s single ‘Played A Live (The Bongo Song)’ at Number Five, and Dario G’s ‘Dream To Me’ currently at Number Seven. The other single which looks set to enter the charts in the Top Ten is Martine McCutcheon, whose ‘On The Radio’ is currently at Number Nine.

A chart expert at HMV in London commented: “Limp Bizkit are looking good for another week at Number One. This would have been unthinkable a year or so ago, and, although still early days, this suggests that we might be seeing a shift of emphasis in the charts towards guitar-based bands once more”.
