The band's performance for UK TV show 'Top Of The Pops' descends into chaos...
Limp Bizkit caused a stage invasion during the recording of a future TOP OF THE POPS show on Tuesday night (August 29).
An estimated 100 fans stormed the stage at the Elstree Studios during the climax of recent hit single ‘Take A Look Around (Theme from Mission: Impossible II)’. A spokesperson for the band said that the scenes were euphoric rather than in any way threatening, with lead singer Fred Durst happily linking arms for the finale.
The band played five tracks, including forthcoming single ‘My Generation’, at the invitation-only gig. The performance of ‘My Generation’ will be broadcast close to the October 30 release date, though it is unlikely the others will be used.
The show followed Limp Bizkit‘s show-stopping appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals last weekend (August 25, 28).
They will release new album ‘Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdog Flavored Water’ on October 16 through Interscope. The album will feature guest appearances by Stone Temple Pilots‘ Scott Wieland and actor Ben Stiller.
