KXTE-FM are furious that the band have allegedly pulled a proposed show in the city...
A radio station in LAS VEGAS has urged listeners to boycott Limp Bizkit‘s new album ‘CHOCOLATE STARFISH AND THE HOT DOG FLAVORED WATER‘ and removed the band from their playlist after the band allegedly pulled a show in the city.
Limp Bizkit are currently on the ‘Anger Management’ tour in the US, which started on October 19 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and will visit 21 venues in the US and Canada before heading off to Japan in January 2001.
According to reports on [url=]www.mtv.com, the rock radio station in Las Vegas, KXTE-FM, are disappointed that a proposed show at the Las Vegas’ Thomas and Mack Center on November 20 will not take place, and as a sign of protest have refused to playlist the band.
In addition, the site claims the station have urged fans who have purchased copies of ‘Chocolate Starfish…’ to return them, and even recorded a radio jingle with lyrics accusing Bizkit of not playing because they could make more money somewhere else.
KXTE‘s programming director Dave Wellington told MTV that: “Fans are too pissed off for us to play an artist that doesn’t support Vegas.”
KXTE-FM claim to be the “future of alternative”. Their playlist includes Marilyn Manson, Papa Roach, Deftones, At The Drive-In, Blink 182, Green Day and The Offspring.
