Jay Z and Linkin Park to reissue ‘Collision Course’ album

Record Store Day release will coincide with 2004 album's 10th anniversary

Linkin Park and Jay-Z will reissue their 2004 album ‘Collision Course’ for this year’s Record Store Day.

The joint album, which saw the nu-metal band’s songs mashed up with Jay Z raps, will be reissued on blue vinyl for the special occasion, which this year falls on April 19. The 10th anniversary reissue will also include a DVD of the joint tour both acts embarked on following the release of the album.

Jay Z and Linkin Park are the latest artists to reveal their own Record Store Day plans with Green Day revealing last week that they plan to release a compilation of demos from the recording sessions of their last album. Meanwhile, LCD Soundsystem will release a recording of their last ever live show on vinyl.

Meanwhile, Linkin Park have been named as one of the headline acts for Download Festival 2014, with the band set to perform their 2000 album ‘Hybrid Theory’ in full at the event.

Festival organiser Andy Copping confirmed that the US metal band will be headline the Saturday night at Download Festival next year. Joining them on the bill will be special guests Fall Out Boy. They join Friday night headliners Avenged Sevenfold and Aerosmith, who will close the Donington festival.
